Sword Mount 2

Blade "Himeji ju Katsuyoshi" in Harima province 17th century

Katana style mount with dragon motif

The obverse is a dragon, its tail is still on the reverse side of tsuba. The reverse is a Sanko. But, it might be strange that the centre blade of it is lost. There is no trick, because the blade has transformed to the dragon.

Fuchi and Kashira is made of Shibuichi, the alloy of silver and copper. The engraving work of dragon is skilful.

Menuki is silver dragon.
The obverse is male. He gets the dragon ball on his left hand, and has a sword like tail. He is running toward the blade.

The reverse is female. She is turning back her face toward the kashira.
