Tsuba2
"Nobuchika"
These tsuba's are made by the present smith Nobuchika,
using a Tamahagane and forged by himself. They are made with the same design,
but the feeling is a little different.
Five Sanskrit letters and swords are cut out. This design
is taken from an old tsuba in 14th century. The original was a tsuba for
tachi mount, so the design was upside down for katana tsuba.
The rim is made from the edge of the tsuba plate turning
it back. The method was taken in Namboku-cho period and Muromachi period
(14th - 16th century).
A)

mean the five great Myo'o.
