Wakizashi (no signature)

This is an originally un-signed blade from 16th century. It is not a masterpiece, but is a typical blade in the period that was made as just a weapon of ordinary solders.
The steel is not fine. The layer is rough.








The hamon is gnome pattern, made of konie (small particles) and nie(large particles). The hamon particles are not very bright. Sunagashi and Kinsuji appear much around the hamon.







This is suitable for starters to study Japanese swords.
