Rescue of horrible condition blade
Blade length 53.9cm, thickness at the base 7.5mm, width 3.0cm
This is a wakizashi blade in horrible condition.
Hamon is difficult to see. But in some parts where is less rust, you can see a nice straight pattern hamon (sugu-ha).
Shirasaya is damaged. Habaki is not original made for the blade. The blade shape is horribly damaged. So, we will have to restore it with new habaki, new shirasaya, and complete re-polishing including recall a proper shape. Those costs will be added up to 150,000.yen or more. And whole work will take some months.
