I just decided to go to Kranjska Gora at the end of 1996.
I've received aeroplane ticket on December 30 and
fly to Brnik, near Ljubljana on January 2...

I arrived to Kranjska Gora by bus.
Of course, I have't booked any room yet!
Fortunately I found one, and the owner of pension is very nice.
But I reccomend all of you to book a room for you before arriving
or you have to sleep on a sofa in the hotel!!

From the morning, I walked in Kranjska Gora a lot.
I've got timetabeles of the races and event like drawings,
and walked down the river (which I still don't know the name).
At that time, the sun goes down and a lot of racers ran along the streets.
I remember I saw Kjetil Andre Aamodt and Guenther Mader, and... I saw Mario!
Just some days before booking my flight to Slovenia, I've received a letter from my Austrian friend Christine.
She wrote, Mario would be absent Kranjska Gora too...
But he WAS there!
At that time, I could talk with him and he said he attend the drawing for sure.
I have to confess, I didn't think he was still in top 15...
At the drawing, there was so much beautiful and sexy girls on the stage!
The audience is not only a man or adult...
Yeah I like to see beautiful girls too but I guess it's too sexy show...
The next day was giant slalom and the top 15 were... oh I don't remember again...
But I'm sure Mario was still there (sorry, Mario!).
I think I'd better to find out some magazines and my photos...
I met Mario's fan club members and family at that time.
They are very kind, nice, and warm...
I met Mario's mental trainer Valentin Hobel too.
We wear same ski wear which is Austria team model
of 1994-95 (which Mario won the first race).
The only difference is, I bought it by myself but Valentin was given from Mario...

It was snowing!
I just remember about it.
I don't know why, I remember nothing...
The day was for GSL and Mario didn't qualify for 30th place.
On the podium, I saw Kjetil Andre Aamodt, Hansi Knauss,
and handsome Sigi Voglreiter!
I really want to see Sigi on the podium again -
I hope next time would be on the top!
I went to drawing place with one Japanese man
who came to Kranjska Gora alone like me.
At that time, of course, Mario was there!

It wasn't bad day - well the day was at least, better than the day before.
It's a day for slalom and Mario was 5th!
You can imagine how happy I was!
The winner is Thomas Sykora. Stani was second and...
I saw Sebastien Amiez, and, Mario.
After the race, I left Kranjska Gora and back to Ljubljana.
At that time, I met the owner of pension and he said,
"Congratulations!
You might be pleased of that result...
But we are not happy becauseJure Kosir and Andrej Miklavc didn't finish."
I really wanted to see Slovene's win at Kranjska Gora
since that day for the kind family!
